What does your bookkeeping service include?

Our bookkeeping service covers monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, transaction categorization, HST/GST filing, and monthly financial reports. We also help you make sense of what those numbers are telling you — not just hand you a report. Do I need to be based in a specific location?

No. We serve Canadian businesses nationwide. All of our services are delivered virtually — no in-person meetings required.

What accounting software do you use?

We work primarily in QuickBooks Online. We also use Dext for receipt and document capture on our higher-tier packages.

What’s the difference between a bookkeeper and an accountant?

A bookkeeper works with you throughout the year, keeping your records current, your filings on time, and your numbers making sense on an ongoing basis. We’re in your business regularly — not just at tax time. An accountant typically steps in once a year, usually around filing time. At HC Bookkeeping, we cover both sides: the ongoing bookkeeping and the tax preparation. You get someone in your corner year-round.

Do you do taxes?

Yes. We handle personal tax returns, corporate tax returns, HST/GST filing, and tax planning. Bookkeeping and tax under one roof means fewer handoffs and a cleaner year-end.

Do you offer payroll?

Yes. We handle payroll processing, T4 preparation, CRA remittances, Records of Employment, and WSIB filing for businesses with employees.
